Sometimes pain really is a message from the body to pay attention and, even though our initial impulse is to try to push it away, breathing our attention into the pain can help release it, because the body is being heard.

Ayamanatara has had chronic high-level pain since 2002, and has had to develop ways of living with that. This is one of her tools.
