Well, This Is Awkward…

I’m seeing a pattern.

Machinery going haywire. Extreme behavior. People’s heads being loudly negative.

But also…

Flashes of insight. Drastic life changes. It seems easier than usual to change long-programmed behaviors.

And…

A lot of buzzy energy. Being grounded seems challenging. People tending towards hypomanic (think overly productive with a chance of overspending, rather than high speed car chase).

I suspect it’s a combination of solar activity and the nearby asteroid. Thursday, I posted to Facebook 2 alerts from SpaceWeather:

On Sunday, Sept. 7th, a house-sized asteroid named “2014 RC” will fly through the Earth-Moon system approximately 40,000 km from our planet. At closest approach, the space rock will be almost inside the orbit of Earth’s geosynchronous satellites. Amateur astronomers, especially those in the southern hemisphere, may be able to observe the flyby.

and

On Sept. 6th, a day before the asteroid flyby, a CME is expected to deliver a glancing blow to Earth’s magnetic field, setting the stage for a nice display of high-latitude auroras.

The combination seems to be hitting many people rather strongly. In addition to my usual advice of drinking water, grounding, doubling up on your personal practice, and cutting yourself and others some slack, I recommend maintaining as much self-awareness as possible. Journal. Pay attention to the choices that present themselves. When possible, try out different responses to situations, rather than falling back on old habitual behaviors.

You might find an opportunity to change your life.
